Dear BF mommies… I’m happily sharing with u guys on the knowledge obtained from yesterday’s discussion (SGM). On how to cope with BF during Ramadhan… hope that these tips more or less might help us during Ramadhan….
1) Make sure to eat balance diet food (especially food that contains high protein for milk production purposes)
2) Dates – the best recipe for far… Blend 7 dates with glass of milk (fresh / low fat / high calcium) & drink it every night
3) Make sure to drink lots of water
4) Always eat home food… (not to buy it outside @ Bazar Ramadhan)
Pump:
1) Pump as usual. (Some of the mommies out there might have more milk during Ramadhan)
2) Increase quantity & quality of time for pumping at night.
3) Make sure, we do it constantly. Because, milk is produce based on demand.
a. Ie: in one day @ office, we pump twice / 3 times…. Morning @ 8.30 am, afternoon @ 12.00 pm & evening @ 5.00 pm. Make sure that we follow the same schedule so that the milk production & our brain will be simulated to produce more milk.
Mind setting
1) Be confident that we can and our body will produce more milk during Ramadhan
2) Make sure that people around you always support BF
3) Always pray to Allah – please helps us, gives us enough encourage & strengthen us to exclusively BF our babies for at least 2 years!
